PROJECT FACTS

Targeting LEED Certified

This project is a new 82,000 sq ft, 2-story south campus dining facility with classroom and office space located on the second floor.  The ground floor supports student dining managed by Aramark and includes private, individual retail food stores across the north façade.

The roof structure consists of steel roof deck over structural steel joists supported by beams at the column grids.  The floor structure consists of cast-in-place concrete over composite steel decking on composite steel beams.  The lateral bracing system is concentric braced frames and the foundation system is cast-in-place reinforced concrete spread footings.

The project is a fast-track project.  The complete structural package was released for bidding at the conclusion of the design development phase and just 6 weeks after the project was awarded to the design team.
