Jay has twenty years of experience in structural design and construction, which includes five years in steel space frames and pre-engineered metal buildings in China, and fifteen years in educational, recreational, health care, and commercial buildings in the US. He is a licensed professional/structural engineer in both countries. Jay joined BK in 2005 after two years of graduate study at the University of Cincinnati. He currently focuses on the K-12 school projects in the firm, and he is also the technical director in charge of code implementation and training new employees. Jay is passionate about making connection details more economical and construction friendly.
